Melissa Tyndall has a Bachelor of Science in English, a Master of Arts in Corporate Communication, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
The 2015 Best New Poets nominee’s poems and award-winning articles have appeared in various newspapers as well as Number One, Prism international, Red Mud Review, Words + Images, Sixfold, Gamut, The Ekphrastic Review, Coffin Bell Journal, peculiars magazine, Dark Marrow, and Vamp Cat Magazine. Her work is also forthcoming in Sugared Water.
Tyndall has presented at Popular Culture & American Culture Association, Association of Writers & Writing Programs, and Clute Institute conferences. She is also a two-time Tennessee Press Award winner and the former advisor of the award-winning student literary magazine, Squatter’s Rites.
The writer, professor, and Supernatural fangirl lives in Nashville with her partner, Matt, and their daughter, who Melissa hopes will prefer terrors over tiaras.
