Melissa Tyndall has a Bachelor of Science in English, a Master of Arts in Corporate Communication, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
Her poems and award-winning articles have appeared in various newspapers as well as Number One, Prism international, Red Mud Review, Words + Images, Sixfold, Gamut, The Ekphrastic Review, Coffin Bell Journal, peculiars magazine, Dark Marrow, Vamp Cat Magazine and Red Tree Review. Melissa was also a Sundress 2020 Chapbook Contest semi-finalist.
Tyndall has presented at The Popular Culture & American Culture Association, Association of Writers & Writing Programs, and Clute Institute conferences. She is also a two-time Tennessee Press Award winner and the former advisor of the award-winning student literary magazine, Squatter’s Rites.
The writer, professor, and Supernatural fangirl lives in Nashville with her husband and their two children, who Melissa hopes will prefer terrors over trucks and tiaras.
